Thomas Reinberger – fashion journalist and top stylist – leads the course “Story Dressing” at WIFI Vienna. He is the creative director of “Projected”.

“Projected” is part of a concept. What was the idea behind it?
To stage something which can span over genres as well countries. FJBaur specifically travelled from Berlin with his elaborate “Art Bodies”. Bringing together creative colleagues with different talents – that is particularly fulfilling.
The whole thing arose through your course for stylists. Which task did your “students” have there?
“Hands-on” in all areas, with all senses.
In your opinion, why is it even necessary to train stylists?
Most of all it’s about the opportunity to get a view into the daily life of a stylist. To discover or even expand one’s potential.
You often work with Conchita as a stylist. How does this cooperation work?
At eye level, ambitious and most of all humorous. We are both very self-critical and continually work towards evolving.
As is well known, art is influenced by fashion – but is fashion also art?
That depends on the eye of the beholder. Since I myself show only minimal talents at the sewing machine, I see the tailoring craftsmanship as an art form.
